It isn't Friday, yet?!!!! We know! However, we are preparing for Friday by asking you to plan ahead and prepare for your meatless Friday... and, to SHARE YOUR RECIPES for meatless Fridays in time for people to get the ingredients TODAY! So, in the comments below, we'd love to hear - what's your go-to favorite meatless recipe to prepare during Lent? And, for more information on why Catholics eat fish on Fridays, and abstain from eating meat, don't miss this handy article, written by Fr. Mike Schmitz, for the Newman Catholic Campus Ministries at the University of Minnesota Duluth: https://bulldogcatholic.org/why-dont-catholics-eat-meat-during-lent/?fbclid=IwAR1x1rskzjSjAnEWU5uLPHMVEIZaRMNAsQh8wjrIvt4ZZEttoplDpdMYgvM
Lent can be a difficult time of the year - or season - for some. When it feels as if you can't keep a single Lenten promise because your life is, well, very Lenty--reflect on God's love. When you can't see the end of 40 days, trust in God's renewal. When the weight of the world is upon you, repent and lean on Him. In the end, it may end up being the most spiritually fruitful Lenten period ever. Hindsight is such a gift!! So, just wondering... How's your Lent going?
Miracles. Supernatural powers. Are you able to take your human response and hear God's call? Do you believe? http://assumptiondc.org/2019/04/do-you-believe/
How can we connect with other parishioners and believers between Masses? Through prayer! If you have any prayer intentions throughout the week, please feel free to use this thread. The request is that if any of us are heading to daily Mass, Adoration, or into prayer time with our Lord, that we lift up the intentions named in the weekly thread. May the blessing of the Lord come upon each and every one of us this week... 🙏
Open Parish Council Meeting on Saturday, March 30 at 10:00 AM Open meeting for new members, all are welcome but only council members can vote.
Run out today, buy this book and read: Forgiveness Makes You Free by Father Ubald. He shares his personal story of losing his family and his 45,000 parishioners in the Rwandan genocide. In the aftermath, Father Ubald has worked for reconciliation between the Rwandan people--to include ministering with the man who gave the order to kill his family. His book teaches spiritual practices of forgiveness and healing. If you are a fan of Immaculee Ilibagiza, if you have ever held a grudge and need to let go of it, or if you simply need a good Lenten book, get a copy and read it. It is sooooo good for the soul!! He is an incredible living saint.

"Almost every woman out there wants a good love story. To either be in one, or to hear of a good love story. Yet, every woman is the center of a love story! It’s a love story so powerful that the Lover doesn’t care whether or not we wear makeup. He doesn’t care whether or not we have stinky breath or unwashed hair. He doesn’t care if we feel like we’re hanging on by a thread as we move about our days on autopilot. Instead, He’s offering us a lifeline. He’s offering us more thread..." In her latest piece for CatholicMom.com, Army wife Anni, shares some thoughts to consider this Lent, encouraging each of us to use the pillars of Lent to develop and nurture the PERSONAL relationship with Christ - not just focusing on the pillars themselves. Read more for encouragement meant for all women. http://catholicmom.com/2019/03/28/at-home-with-you/

Questions to ponder during Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: How is God making Himself manifest in my life right now? What is God moving me to do in my life for Him? How can I make myself more open to His voice? What can I do to strengthen my faith? During Lent we will observe adoration every Wednesday 10 am to 6 pm. Sign up sheet is in the back of the church.
When we think of the Blessed Mother, many of us have various thoughts and perceptions of how she looked and gazed upon her Son. Today we challenge you to use this MARIAN MONDAY to ponder how she gazes not just at our Lord, but also... how does she gaze upon *you* as a beautiful, and blessed daughter of her Divine Son? Today, as we go through our day, let us turn our thoughts toward Mary, ask her to gently bring us into her embrace, and to lead us closer to Christ. Let us strive to emulate her gaze toward Jesus to those we meet and love.
